Where will the 2023 in-person Walkathons take place?

How much does it cost to attend Walkathon?

Admission to Walkathon is FREE. However, fundraising is encouraged and we hope you’ll support our vendors as proceeds benefit the mission of Southeastern Guide Dogs.

Do I have to register to attend?

Registration is not required; however it is encouraged as it provides event planners with a more accurate estimate of expected attendance.

Can I volunteer at Walkathon?

Absolutely! There are several volunteer positions and shifts available. Click on this link to apply for a Walkathon volunteer position.

Can I pick up fundraising incentive items at Walkathon?

Yes. All registered fundraisers can pick up incentive items at Walkathon. We cannot guarantee that incentive items will be available to those who have not registered to fundraise on the Walkathon website.

Will there be a raffle at Walkathon?

Yes. $1,000 raffle drawings will take place LIVE at the Suncoast, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Orlando Walkathons. The $10,000 grand prize raffle drawing will take place on June 2, 2023 at 1 pm (EDT) and will be live-streamed on Southeastern Guide Dogs' Facebook page.

Do I have to bring a dog?

No, however well-behaved dogs on non-retractable leashes are welcome.

 Is the 3K walk route stroller and/or wheelchair friendly?

Yes. The walk route is paved; however most Walkathons take place at parks and the event space is grass so strollers/wheelchairs may be difficult to navigate.

What happens if it rains?

Walkathon will take place rain or shine. There is no make-up date.

Is there water along the walk route?

Yes. There are water stations along the route and also available in the main event space.

Is there food at the event?

Yes. There will food trucks and/or vendors selling food.

Will there be an ATM at the event?

No. Cash, check, credit cards, and debit cards are acceptable forms of payment should you wish to make purchases and/or donations at the event.

What time should I arrive?

Most Walkathons begin at 9 am. See event-specific flyers for details.

Is there a parking fee?

A $5 parking donation is requested per vehicle.

Is handicapped parking available?

Handicapped parking is provided by most parks and is available on a first come, first served basis.
