If you are attending the event, but not walking, please join us in the Clubhouse for breakfast and the speaker. Our special guest will share how his service dog changed his life.
For those unable to attend, we appreciate your donation of any amount. Your generous gift will be used to fund scholarships for our veterans' programs. Double your donation - your gift will go twice as far! Caring supporters have pooled their resources to create the 2026 Heroes Challenge. The Dogs Inc Heroes Council will match your gift, dollar for dollar, with all proceeds supporting the extraordinary dogs that make a difference in the lives of veterans and their families. 100% of your contribution is tax-deductible and will support veterans? programs at Dogs Inc, a 501(C)(3) charity.
From its meager beginnings in 2004, the 2025 event raised $26,500 with 130 walkers and 210 donors. Since its inception, the Stoneybrook Walk N Talk has resulted in over $256,000 gifted to Dogs Inc. Your donations fund scholarships that provide service dogs to veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and other disabilities, as well as guide dogs to veterans with vision loss, facility therapy dogs that provide therapeutic services to veterans and families being treated in military medical facilities, and gold star family dogs that provide loving companionship to military children and families who have lost a loved one in service to the nation. Every gift makes a tremendous impact on the heroes who need these life-changing dogs.
Special guest will share how his service dog changed his life. We are honored to welcome Sean, US Army Veteran, as our guest speaker. After seven years in the United States Army, injuries cut Sean’s time in the service short. As a civilian, he worked hard giving the illusion that everything was okay, but anxiety and PTSD threatened his peace of mind. Motorcycles became his escape, with the “thrill of the road” easing his ever-growing issues. But when his body could no longer take the stress of riding, he knew it was time to find help. A gentle, attentive service dog named Pella came along just in time. Helping Sean regain confidence, stability, and independence. In recent years, Sean has since been matched with his successor service dog, Nick, who continues to support him in his daily life.
The minimum donation is $25.00 per person for those participating in the live event. The donation includes coffee and breakfast.
